Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Clio.
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Clio, including its website, dashboard, voice agent, features, integrations, and related services (together, the "Services"). Clio is an AI voice-calling and agent platform developed and operated by BizzBuzz Creations ("Clio", "we", "us", "our") that helps businesses answer, make, and manage phone calls, capture leads, book appointments, and follow up with customers.
By accessing, registering for, subscribing to, or using Clio, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of them, you must not use the Services.
These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy, and with any Data Processing Agreement that applies to your account.
2. About Clio
Clio is a cloud-based platform. Depending on your plan, it may provide:
- An AI voice agent that answers inbound calls and places outbound calls
- Call recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries
- Lead capture, lead scoring, and campaign management
- Appointment booking through a connected Google Calendar
- Follow-up emails and messages, including through a connected Gmail, SMTP, or WhatsApp Business account
- Phone number provisioning and telephony
- Team access with roles and permissions
- Reporting, cost tracking, and analytics
We may add, change, or remove features from time to time to improve the Services.
3. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Clio, you confirm that:
- You have read and accepted these terms
- You are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into them
- The information you give us is accurate and kept up to date
- You will use Clio lawfully and responsibly
If you use Clio on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it to these terms, and "you" includes that organisation.
4. Eligibility and acceptable use
You may use Clio only for lawful business purposes. You must not use it:
- For any illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harassing activity
- To impersonate another person or business, or to mislead a caller into thinking they are speaking to a human where the law requires disclosure of an automated agent
- To place unsolicited, spam, or scam calls or messages, or to call numbers on do-not-disturb or do-not-call registers where the law prohibits it
- To collect data without authorisation or to violate anyone's privacy rights
- To upload malware, attempt to bypass security, or interfere with the platform or other users
- To reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Services
We may restrict, suspend, or end access if these requirements are broken.
5. Account registration and security
Some features need an account. You must give accurate and complete details, including your name, business information, contact details, and sign-in credentials.
5.1 Your responsibilities
- Keep your login details secure and do not share them with unauthorised people
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account
- Manage your team's access and roles carefully
- Keep your account information up to date
You are responsible for everything done through your account, unless it results from a security fault on our side.
5.2 Account misuse
You must not access another user's account without permission, attempt to bypass our security, introduce harmful code, or interfere with how the platform operates. Misuse may lead to suspension or termination.
6. Plans, credits, and payments
Clio is offered through subscription plans and usage-based charges, such as call minutes, messaging, phone numbers, and other metered usage. Prepaid credits may be added to your wallet. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Razorpay; we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details.
By subscribing or adding credit, you agree to:
- Pay the fees for your selected plan and the usage your account generates
- Provide accurate billing information and keep your payment method valid
- Follow the billing cycle that applies to your plan
6.1 Renewal and non-payment
Depending on your plan, subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You are responsible for cancelling before the renewal date if you do not want to continue. If a payment fails or your wallet runs out of credit, we may limit calls or features, suspend your account, or end the Services until the balance is settled.
6.2 Price changes
We may change plans, pricing, or features, for example because of new features or changes in our infrastructure and provider costs. Where a change is significant, we will tell you in advance.
6.3 Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
7. Using the Services
You may use Clio to run your business communications: answer and make calls, capture and manage leads, book appointments, and follow up with customers.
7.1 Calls, recording, and consent
You are responsible for how you use Clio to contact people. In particular, you agree to:
- Have a lawful basis, and any required consent, before calling or messaging a person
- Follow the laws that apply to telemarketing, do-not-disturb registers, calling hours, and call recording in the places where you and your callers are located
- Tell callers when a call may be recorded or handled by an automated agent, where the law requires it
- Give accurate scripts and business information to the agent
7.2 AI-generated output
Clio uses artificial intelligence, including speech recognition, language models, and speech synthesis, and these systems can make mistakes. Transcripts, summaries, lead scores, and the agent's spoken replies may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing outputs that matter and for the instructions, scripts, and actions you set up. We do not promise that the agent will always understand every caller or behave exactly as intended.
7.3 Third-party providers and integrations
To run a call, Clio relies on third-party providers, such as telephony, speech-to-text, language-model, text-to-speech, calendar, email, messaging, and payment services. If you connect your own accounts, such as Google Calendar, Gmail, SMTP, or WhatsApp Business, you must comply with those providers' terms, and any charges they make are your responsibility. We are not responsible for outages or changes at third-party providers.
8. Your data and privacy
You keep ownership of the business data you upload to or generate in Clio, including your leads, scripts, call recordings, and transcripts. We do not claim ownership of your customer data.
You give us permission to process that data as needed to provide the Services. We handle it as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to collect, store, and use the personal information of the people you contact through Clio, including any callers whose calls are recorded.
9. Intellectual property
Clio, including its software, design, user interface, features, documentation, and branding, is protected by intellectual property law and remains the property of BizzBuzz Creations and its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services during your subscription.
Without our prior written permission, you must not copy the platform, resell it, modify or extract its source code, build a competing product from it, or remove ownership notices.
10. Service availability
We work to keep Clio reliable and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Availability can be affected by scheduled maintenance, updates, security work, internet or carrier problems, and failures at third-party providers. Because phone calls depend on external networks, you should not rely on Clio as your only way to receive urgent or emergency calls.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clio and BizzBuzz Creations are not responsible for:
- Business losses, lost sales, or missed calls resulting from your decisions, scripts, or configuration
- Loss or damage caused by third-party services or networks
- Temporary interruptions or delays in the Services
- Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated transcripts, summaries, or replies
- Fines, claims, or losses arising from your failure to follow calling, consent, recording, or privacy laws
- Misuse of the platform or unauthorised actions by people using your account
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the fees you paid to us for the Services in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important data, such as exports of recordings and lead lists.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Break these terms or applicable law
- Fail to pay amounts due
- Misuse the platform, including unlawful or abusive calling
- Create a security risk for Clio or other users
You may stop using Clio and cancel your subscription at any time by following the cancellation process in your account. On termination your right to use the Services ends, and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the dashboard. Continuing to use Clio after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law, the courts of India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
