Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Clio ("Clio", "we", "us", "our"), operated by BizzBuzz Creations, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use the Clio dashboard and voice platform.
Cookies help a website or software platform work reliably and securely. They let us keep you signed in, protect forms from misuse, and remember settings so you don't have to repeat yourself.
This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information.
By continuing to use our website or Clio dashboard, you acknowledge that cookies may be placed on your device as described here. You can manage or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, but blocking some of them will stop parts of Clio from working.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, phone, or tablet when you visit a website. They let a site recognise your device and remember information about your earlier visits. They usually contain technical information, such as a random identifier or a session token, rather than details like your name or phone number.
Cookies are described by how long they last:
Session cookies
These are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to:
- Keep you signed in while you move around the dashboard
- Support secure access to features such as call history, leads, and billing
- Hold temporary information during your visit
Persistent cookies
These stay on your device for a set period or until you delete them. They are used to:
- Remember you between visits where you have asked to stay signed in
- Keep certain settings and preferences
3. Why we use cookies
We use cookies to make Clio work, keep it secure, and keep your experience consistent.
3.1 Essential cookies
These are required for the website and dashboard to work. They are used to:
- Create and maintain your secure login session
- Authenticate you and apply your account's role and permissions
- Protect forms, such as sign-in, billing, and demo requests, against cross-site request forgery
- Help detect and prevent unauthorised access attempts
Without these cookies, Clio cannot function properly, so they cannot be switched off from within our service.
3.2 Preference cookies
Where we offer them, preference cookies remember choices such as display settings or the last view you used, so you don't need to set them again on your next visit. Blocking them will not stop Clio from working, but some choices may not be remembered.
3.3 Performance and analytics
At the time of writing, we do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies on the Clio website or dashboard. Our servers keep standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If we introduce analytics cookies in future, we will use them only to understand how the product is used and to improve its speed and reliability, we will update this policy, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent first.
3.4 Marketing and advertising
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before setting them.
4. Third-party cookies
Some features are provided by trusted third parties, and those providers may set their own cookies when you use them. Examples include:
- Payments: our payment provider, Razorpay, may set cookies to keep checkout sessions secure and help prevent fraud while you pay for a plan or top up credits.
- Google: if you connect Google Calendar or Gmail, Google's sign-in and authorisation pages set their own cookies under Google's policies.
- Embedded content: if a page embeds a video or similar item, the provider of that content may set cookies.
We do not control cookies set by third parties. Please read their privacy and cookie policies to understand how they handle your information.
5. How you can control cookies
You can accept, reject, view, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- See which cookies are stored and delete them
- Block cookies from specific websites, or from all websites
- Get a warning before a cookie is stored
- Clear cookies automatically when you close the browser
Cookie controls can be found in the privacy or security settings of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge. The exact steps depend on your browser version and device.
If you disable cookies
- You may not be able to sign in or stay signed in
- Forms may be rejected by our security checks
- Some dashboard features, such as billing and call management, may not work correctly
- Saved preferences may be lost between visits
6. Information collected through cookies
Cookies and similar technologies may record:
- Technical information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and language
- Usage information: pages visited, features used, and sign-in and session activity
- Performance information: loading times and errors
We use this information only for legitimate purposes: keeping your account secure, running the service, fixing faults, and improving Clio. We do not sell it.
7. How long cookies last
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they reach their expiry date or you delete them. We keep cookie-related information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal obligations, and to keep the service secure.
8. International transfers
Clio and the providers that help run it (for example hosting, telephony, and payment providers) may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information remains protected, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Privacy laws
We aim to handle cookies in line with applicable privacy law, including India's Information Technology Act and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and, for visitors from those regions, the EU GDPR and California's CCPA. That means being transparent about what we use, limiting cookies to what we need, and giving you meaningful control.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices, technology, or the law change. When we make important changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email or a notice in the dashboard. The updated policy takes effect once published, unless we state otherwise.
